The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is the highest degree someone can obtain in the nursing field. DNPs are the highest degrees for clinical nursing practice. The University of Wyoming's BSN to DNP program requires the completion of 84 credit hours and a total of 1200 practical clock hours (equivalent to 20 credits). This program typically takes students 3 years to complete.
